Washington Post Speaking of Science This man is about to launch himself in his homemade rocket to prove the earth is flat By Avi Selk November 21 at 1:51 PMSeeking to prove that a conspiracy of astronauts fabricated the shape of the Earth, a California man intends to launch himself 1,800 feet high on Saturday in a rocket he built from scrap metal.
Assuming the 500-mph, mile-long flight through the Mojave Desert does not kill him, Mike Hughes told the Associated Press, his journey into the atmosflat will mark the first phase of his ambitious flat-Earth space program.
Hughes’s ultimate goal is a subsequent launch that puts him miles above the Earth, where the 61-year-old limousine driver hopes to photograph proof of the disc we all live on. link

Well after this flight, something that was formerly a 3-dimensional object will indeed be a completely flat disc......

You people are so quick to judge. What if it turns out he is right and we have all been duped? Will his launch be televised? I'd watch.

At that altitude he may run into the chemtrails first, or bump into the underside of a UFO.

Will his launch be televised? I'd watch. I hope that there's at least a live stream as this could be spectacular in one of several ways.

Read it and weep www.tfes.org/Anyone with a cell phone and a friend in another part of the world could easily refute this. It just amazes me that there are that many nutcases out there.

Smart guy to get up to prove the earth is flat. I wonder what he is "up" on. As to "flat" all the guy needs to do is to look around him and see how nature tends to round things. Of course, if he says the earth is flat then the earth is all there is. Nothing else exists except what is on the flat earth.

We know the earth is not flat. If it were cats would have pushed everything over the edge by now.

This guy is smarter than y'all think. Reading between the lines, I don't believe he believes the world is flat. His conversion seems to have been one of convenience, a route to a new funding source after his original Kickstarter netted only $310 out of a planned $150,000.
