So I had a great visit in DC and Virginia with Lance and Brett and Mom. Her meds have been stabilized and she is a lot happier and less paranoid, and frequently knew who she was with and where we were until she got tired but physically she has stiffened up and no longer Bears her own weight but is wheelchair bound.
Brett's Dr says he has no concept how Brett can be healed but even though they discovered a few injuries that had overlooked in the general mess with the bull, he is back at work on the ranch and going at it sunrise to sundown.
Lance had the feeding tube fall out on its own, and there is a hole to his stomach that leaks stomach acid and burns his skin and occasionally ejects a lettuce leaf or bit of pizza. But it is healing, and went from dime sized to about the diameter of the head of a wooden match. He can eat everything again, and we did a lot of walking, went to a Nationals/Braves Game, went to several monuments, went to two plays and a movie and visited family and saw his Doctor.

Great news. Your family has a good quantity of the "tough" genes.

Wow, that's plenty adversity. I'm glad they're persevering and I wish them all continued progress.
