Sunday was a great day. They took Lance off the breathing tube and once he was breathing on his own let him drink cold drinks. He also is down from twelve IV lines to one and was moved out of ICU. Possibly he will have the repair surgery on Tuesday.
edited to add that he had chocolate ice cream Monday afternoon. so life is good

Well Thursday Sept. 9, 2015 Team Lance Miller update
Lance was to have the surgery today but they noticed his breathing was ragged overnight so did a ct scan before and he has a blood clot in his lung. No surgery today but will treat the clot through the weekend and revisit the surgery next week. He is still breathing on his own and still out of ICU and is comfortable and in good spirits.

This afternoon they took him back to ICU because his breathing is rough enough they want him watched closely. I'm worried but my brother is one tough man and has almost never been sick. Several of the Down's Syndrome kids I work with have heart and other health problems but Lance has been lucky that way.

Monday Sept. 14. Lance Miller entered the hospital two weeks ago today. Here is Brett's latest update
Lance is out of ICU for a second time. For the first time since this started he seems to Beverly close to his old self mentally. Spirits are good and I assume they will plan the surgery within the next couple of days.

September 23 update: Good news for Lance today as he is leaving the Hospital and headed to Shenandoah center in Charlestown, West Virginia to spend time in rehab/physical therapy to regain his strength and confidence to take care of his own day to day tasks.
