Oh choosing a favorite is always so difficult, especially if there is a lot to choose from. There were mountains, coastal sights and Welsh marshes with confronting sheep. All of the experiences have been so great, and the photos of those trips are loaded with emotions, memories and stories. The best shots are not necessarily the greatest ones in the ways of personal preference. But here goes. That shot is from Wales. It is the view we had in the morning as we woke up and crawled out of our tent. There was a herd of wild Welsh ponies close by, and we had heard them munching and neighing all night long. The road in the picture took us to a very beautiful hike that day. A set of special memories in there. I also love the subtle colors in this image.

This photo of Kings Peak, Utah captures the scale of the mountain. But it also represents how all my challenges, frustrations, set backs, and issues felt to me during 2016. It was a long year with lots of personal challenges. But I climbed that mountain! BTW, I took all my photos with a Samsung Galaxy 7 Phone which supposedly had the best camera at the time. I am very pleased with the quality!

I can't get over at how good cameras have gotten in phones. Looking back at photos from a decade ago, my dedicated & expensive cameras (not dSLR scale) can't hold a candle to how good my Nexus is. Just crazy.

I'm not a photographer, but this shot of the upper meadow in Evolution Valley became wallpaper.

So which is your favorite? So hard to answer. The first one is my first attempt at the "smooth water" affect on my new point and shoot and it turned out much better than I thought. The second photo was my first over night hike of the year last April. But if you made me choose I'd close my eyes spin around and point at the one from Hell's Hollow I guess.

Nice. That's a waterfall I visit a lot, although it's been a while since I photographed it.

Not sure if this is my best but one of my favorites anyway. Taken while roaming the arches national park.

Nice. That's a waterfall I visit a lot, although it's been a while since I photographed it. That was last January if I remember right. I went back to make a visit towards the end of summer and it was almost bone dry with barely a trickle down it.

Hard to choose, but this one from King's Canyon is certainly a favorite: P9080382 by richglasgow63, on Flickr
