We used to have a "menopause sucks" thread. But I decided to work on a list of what's great about this point in my life. Feel free to add to the list; tongue in cheek is usually a good attitude.
1. I carry a much lighter sleeping bag than I used to.

I love not having the monthly issue any more! I'm still waiting for that to kick in entirely. It's not monthly any more...it's now totally random

RebeccaD - I remember those days. Random, unpredictable and sometimes you think you will surely need a blood transfusion. Lol. Hang in there. This too shall pass.

Thanks! I am being as much of a late bloomer with this as with everything else in my life. Geez.

I don't worry about bears ANY time anymore. I read Night of the Grizzlies long ago and it haunted me. I love bears and, though I respect them, I have never been afraid of them..............except when I was menstruating in grizzly country.

I hear you! It has never been proven that bears are more interested in menstruating women. But I can't help thinking that the garbage bag would take on an extra appeal! And who wants to find out the hard way that the researchers are wrong?

I think, for me, it is the freedom of just not having to consider it at all. It has been long enough that when I'm doing my pack list it isn't even a fleeting thought.

I guess I'm a year or two from that point, since you can't trust things for a year or more. I'm looking forward to it! Meanwhile, I'm always warm enough.

Menopause would be a lot greater if it just got on with it

I think I've finally gotten rid of all my emergency stashes.
I'm definitely sleeping colder though.
