The fact that this boggles my mind probably means that I'm officially, or at least unofficially, old. Tesla is recalling (really, issuing a software update) about 2.2 million cars because some of its fonts are too small. Not because of leaky transmissions, failing brakes, or potential electrical fires, or even exploding air bags, but because of font size. www.cars.com/articles/tesla-recalls-2-million-vehicles-for-dashboard-font-size-477733/Love it! They would have just sent everyone who owns a Tesla a pair of "readers." Who knew that you could find the fix for a Tesla at the end of aisle 14 at CVS?

What don't you want to talk about? Getting old. I don't have to. My body is constantly reminding me of it.

I don’t feel like I’m old, but, yesterday, I couldn’t fill the gas tank on the wife’s car using my phone. Something went wrong. I don’t know what. Can’t use the credit card because they “skimmed” it the last time I used it there.
On Saturday, the wife and I drove to the hill country for the first time in a long time, fiddled around too much, and didn’t come back until late.
After about 20 miles of driving as the light faded to twilight, I figured out that I couldn’t see any signs on the side of the road, not even the big ones announcing the speed limit. So when we stopped to get a sandwich, I had to let the wife drive. That’s the first time that’s ever happened to me, so I guess I’ll have to admit to being OLD. MAYBE.
ADDENDUM I was on my PC yesterday trying to create a new YouTube channel for my sister to view. Sometime last month, after fending them off for quite a while, Microsoft finally caught me hitting the wrong key and updated my machine to Windows 11. Now I need help understanding why they didn’t transfer my accounts and contact lists from my old email accounts to their new mail client. Apparently, you have to do that manually – – and they require that you link to Microsoft’s “cloud” to “sync“ email accounts, even if they aren’t Microsoft. On top of that, they reset all of my directory preferences to the defaults AND removed all of my “quick links” in the directory. Why would they do that?

Looks like this: Lesson #2 for gabby: Sleeping Bag Man!'s pic shows a hand clutching the pump grip, which has a latch to keep the pump flowing even when you're not holding it. This helps avoid the arthritis pain of prolonged gripping (especially if your vehicle has a large empty gas tank). Just be sure the pump spigot will stay put in the tube that fills your tank, as you don't want gas spilling all over the ground or on you. Also, don't try to fill up at a funny looking pump with TESLA written on it.

No gas stations around here have them anymore for a long time. Not an issue in NJ. They don't allow self serve.

I did my own fill in OR for the first time in Jan. It felt strange after having been chastised once for touching a pump there. For some reason, it doesn't feel strange to pump my own gas in other states.

Do the attendants offer to check your oil as well, like in the old days?

Geez, I had no idea. Do the attendants offer to check your oil as well, like in the old days? Here's a fun fact that makes me feel even older than all you wrinkly old geezers... When I was in high school in Oregon, I worked for the last full-service gas station in the city. It must've been one of the last in the state. I had to wash the windshield & back window, offer to check the tires, and offer to check the oil. So it's safe to say that I've handled a few dipsticks in my time. Hey, don't judge...it put me through college.

It's actually somewhat challenging to find a gas station that sells oil nowadays.
