And some people's genetics makes cleanup more of a task than others. I have hairy Viking genetics that means ... well use yer imagination. It's going to be very difficult to unread that.

Something ain't adding up, Some women use no more paper than a man. I know some who carry pee rags for that purpose, meaning they only use paper for #2.

It's going to be very difficult to unread that. Have you seen the top of his head? That would bring any general hairiness into question.

Are you asking for photographic proof of my claim? Because if you are ... Please, God, no. It's well known that hirsuteness in men correlates to baldness. Both have to do with the way a certain type of testosterone is generated and processed in the body. The drug Proscar (finasteride) is widely used for baldness. One of the side effects is reduction of body hair. I was on finasteride for about 10 years, up until a couple years ago. (It was not for hair loss--that ship sailed quite some time ago for me.) I definitely noticed a reduction in body hair when I was on it (I've always been a pretty hairy guy), and it has increased a bit since I've gone off of it. It has some other less pleasant side effects, including one that the company does not acknowledge but is widely reported: reduction of mental sharpness. I went on that drug about the time I quit caffeine. That was quite a double whammy in the mental sharpness department. I'm off the finasteride and back to a cup of coffee a day, sometimes two--thank God. If the downside is a little extra back hair, I'm OK with that.

Now, I'm no expert on these things, but I do have it on good authority that girls use more TP than boys. I can't imagine 10-20 sheets being enough for a multi-day trip for me, let alone for a girl. One sheet of TP for each poop. I have to figure on a couple/day. For the other (which is why girls use more TP at home), I, like many backpacking women, use a pee rag.

I carry baby wipes in my kit. Cheaper and some are fragrance free.

Isn't that totally dependent on other factors? Consistency seems to vary by consumption. Some poop leaves no trace. Some poop leaves behind a veritable trail of tears. And some people's genetics makes cleanup more of a task than others. I have hairy Viking genetics that means ... well use yer imagination. Rumi <~~~~~norseman

I hope you realized I was just playing around: I mostly wanted to get the shot in in reference to the famous pillow note, but I notice neither you nor Zeke are taking the bait. LOL Nope, my head never went there. I thought to myself, "of course she's a woman. Haven't you seen enough pics?" The famous pillow note, indeed.

Trowel, hand sani, 6 squares tp per day, and little snack-sized ziploc bags for packing out used TP, and a sandwich-sized ziploc to hold the used little tp bags.
A friend of mine brings medical-type latex or nitrile gloves, puts one on one hand before doing his business, after he wipes he just holds the used tp in the gloved hand and peels the glove off with the other hand, wrapping everything up inside neatly.
