But the tracks curving out of sight make the photo—very intriguing and alluring! Agree: tracks or footprints are very evocative. I've always loved this pic I took in fall snow at Park Creek Pass in the North Cascades for that very reason. It's not a particularly remarkable photo, but I love the footprints heading over the pass.

Thanks, Rebecca! That's the summit of Mt Jo, a small peak in the Adirondaks, by Heart Lake. I snowshoed up and just turned around and saw the tracks.

Mother nature is a master artist. YES! To me she's the greatest artist ever, embodying not only beauty, contrast, serenity, and majesty, but incorporating history into her masterpieces.

Beautiful photos, pristine, peaceful, beautifully balanced in terms of landscape, and interestingly humorous of the car with the spiked top. I've seek guys with hair styles like that!

From the top of Red Mountain, CA in January 2017. I was on a job interview with a mining company a few miles west of Death Valley. They wouldn't pay me enough to live in the desert. Of course it rained hard while I was there, which stopped the bigger hike (Telescope Peak) I had planned for the day after the interview. Instead I had, what I assume is fairly uncommon views of snow-capped hills in the desert.

Went skiing in Idaho yesterday. Never seen anything quite like the top of the hill.
