Your beloved Mods would like to get back to changing up our header photo more often, and thanks to Deborah lending us a hand, we can! But we need your help. We don't want stock photos, we want YOUR photos, of your trips and experiences. People in a photo are okay since the images are small enough that a person’s identity is not likely an issue, but you should know the person and have permission. But we don't just want your photos--we want your ART! There are people here who do wonderful block prints, great watercolor art, maybe others make prints, or oils or whatever! Let’s have some work submitted for the Banner graphic. Get your name up in pixels. Fifteen minutes of fame, Maybe fifteen days, or more.
Ideally, please submit something that has some sort of connection to the season. Wildflowers are fun! Try to ID whatever you find.
Simple guidelines: Make a photo of your art, or if photos are your art, just add to the page. You can use the handy "Add Image" feature, so no need to go Flickr or whatever. Add your image in this thread--we can get the image off the page. If you have already posted a photo that you want considered, you can post a link to the page it’s on. That’s about it. Bear in mind when selecting an image that the banner photo is a little more than twice as wide as it is high, so the photo should lend itself to that shape, though we'll crop it to fit.
PLEASE DON'T DO YOUR OWN CROPPING! We'll keep the original and link to it in the photo thread so that people can see the whole thing.
So jump in and give us your best banner shots! We'll select the image with the most "likes" each month.
