If anyone is using an old 640 monitor, that's a problem. I use 1024 x 768 screen resolution on my LED desktop monitor because that is what most websites use. I may vaguely remember 640, but never had one. Anyhow, I need to go look for that mountain goat in original size. Thanks.

That is their fault for being old school :( 640 is not "Old School." It's on the order of Ice Age.

Here is a test for you. There is a theme named "Plain Tan" and I just set it to be 950px wide. I see that the 1000px photo seems to be reduced okay, but maybe the subject matter doesn't show distortion so much. Set your theme to Plain Tan and see what you think? (pay no attention to the top copy area with the now-clipped free mags offer. That's work in progress, not reset for the narrower width.)

Set your theme to Plain Tan and see what you think? I don't see a Plain Tan yet. I just have the options BP_Autumn, Canvas, Cordura, and MossyGranite.

Man there are so many places to tap on to set stuff up! I have been using the Tan theme to test some things and so it was hidden from members, visible to me. I just opened it for all to see. Carry on...

Okay, I found Plain Tan now. And it looks just right on my screen resolution. Honestly, I hate to put you to the trouble. I can live with it either way.

Here's a suggestion: There is zero difference in content, so if Tan fits the screen better, stay with it. What will you miss? Only seeing different backgrounds and header images. But those images are going to be on display in the thread I started in the Photo Gallery section, so you can still see what's going on, just a bit narrower. I'm going to leave Tan as a standard option. I'll rename it for clarity.

So, I can click through 4 backgrounds, and each one has a different header pic. Any way to allow me to pic my own pic to go with the side bar background I want? Say, something like the elk with the mossy granite?

Any way to allow me to pic my own pic Can o' worms? Always. But the reason I delayed an answer is because I had to ask Support! In fact it's logical to think a choice should be possible, but this software takes Javascript out of the loop, so "easy" tweaks like switching CSS stylesheets or using a random image from a list is not in the cards. There are plug-ins, however, written in PHP and they allow the tricks. I have posted a request for a plug-in that would allowchanges to the background image. The photo banners will change every two weeks (?) so the trick would be to then just change from granite crystals tp pepperoni pizza, or whatever, and then get back to discussing Brussels sprouts and kilts. Worms? Background art? Hmmmm...

Safer than a pit of rattlers, eh? Perhaps not as meaty or nutritious, but you can't have everything. I need a can of worms. My garden is short on them. Please forward to me... Download the image. Print it. Take it outside. Put it in your compost pile. Add water and lots of other compostable material. Turn once or twice per week. Wait. They shall appear. I'm starting a new compost pile today. The old one still doesn't have any worms, but not to worry - they're in the vegetable garden, which is where it counts, and they'll love the new compost.

I'm starting a new compost pile today Shameless plug: You both should join The Organic Gardening Community: organicgroup.freeforums.net . That forum is where I picked up my mad skillz when Rodale's Organic Gardening forum was closed. I started a new forum so the regulars could stay together. I see a trend! It's time for planting garlic, and you will find something of interest. Worms get discussed too.
