Yeah, about time for snow. Two years ago we had 3 to 6 feet of snow in the first week of October.

Woo Hoo all you want. We're back to 90's later this week after 3 days of 70's and 80's.

It'll be time to strap on the 'pons and hit the ice soon. Put some windfall towards a new pair of tools a couple weeks ago. I can only barely wait to put them to good use this season.

I was up in Estes Park earlier today wearing shorts and a tee shirt. The road may be officially closed, but winter is still a ways off.

Snowfall at around 5000 feet elevation from October 4-5, 2013. Someday soon, I hope.

The Beartooth Pass has been closed for about a week now and will be for the rest of the season. Welcome winter, my favorite season. Time to get out the skis and snowshoes.

You folks are goofy. To hell with this cold & winter garbage. Much prefer the 90's & a touch of humidity with sweat pouring off than numbing frostbit cold.

There was a healthy blanket of snow on higher elevations of Mt. Charleston (NV) last week.
