Got hit with a stomach virus at the same time as the last bunch of E. coli. So we were talking about 3 weeks of rice (with a soft fried egg), white toast, and multivitamin. Did the Bisbee 1000 route and then a couple overnight backpacks in New Mexico (9 miles total for #1, then 14 miles for #2). My knee almost crumpled coming down from the last one though. Probably did too much too fast.
Just started lap swimming again to rebuild, interspersed with dayhiking and maybe a little weights.

You're going to kill Saturday! Or die. One way or the other At least we stuffed our inner cheapskates into a dark corner and booked 2 nights at an Air B&B so we don't have to drive back home after the ride.

rebeccad - That's always a plus. Best to plan ahead for the post ride exhaustion. I told my running partner on Sunday that I was so glad she drove, because I'm not sure I could have after that race. lol I felt like my head was going to explode. I'm not sure how I'm going to get home after the Triathlon Sprint in July.

He's got a 100 mile mountain bike race he's doing the following weekend. Man, he is a glutton for punishment! Biking 100 miles on a road bike, on pavement, is hard enough. It has to be about 50% harder on a mountain bike, on trails. And to race it--no thanks! I want to relax and enjoy the food stops!

Yeah, he's crazier than I am. lol I keep telling him he better not die. North Dakota, (think Bad Land terrain) in the dead of the summer. No thanks.

Week of 20 May:
Sun: Nature path hike. 4.77 miles. 2 hours 10 minutes. Rain and wading through 150+ yards of knee deep water, the Boise River had flooded. I wore my new boots and they got a good shake down.
Tue: 1 hour treadmill +426 calories and dCablecross workout. Wed: Tablerock hike. Fun times being on the trail with dirt and rock under my feet.

I biked 98 miles yesterday, with 9600' of climbing. I'm taking today off. Well, mostly. We did a roughly 2 1/2 mile hike (walk) this morning before having a lovely brunch and then driving home.

Sa: Watch CrossFit (that counts, right?). We had the XFit events on one viewing device and hockey on another viewing device.

But! You fell 2 miles short of your Century!! Yeah, did the whole course, but it wasn't quite there. Most Centuries are like that--a mile or two either side of 100. I don't think I've done a single one that hit the mileage on the nose--hard to do!
