Unfortunately, we had our first really cloudy night in a long time tonight. Not much to see.

I just brought all of my gear in. Files are almost done downloading. I caught a lucky break in the clouds for the tail end of totality and part of the egress

Mine look pretty much like Joe's. SWT shows what you can do with the right stuff!

Pulling up a few more of the background stars and trying to tame down the moon on a longer exposure. Full frame but resized for web. 8" f4 telescope(800mm fl), Nikon d7100, ISO 100, 9 sec.

Great pic!
We never have cloudy skies, unless there's an eclipse, lol

I think the clouds made it more interesting. I agree. Nice.

The clouds are great. You can almost see the wraiths flitting about.

e clouds are great. You can almost see the wraiths flitting about. Ringwraiths, I assume you mean. Our clouds were nowhere near as interesting. There was a solid cloud bank until about 8 p.m., then the moon was above it. Then we drove home, thinking to keep an eye on it from there, now that it was high enough--but the fog moved in thick and solid and the moon wasn't seen again.
