I hope you are having a good Memorial Day Weekend. Pausing perhaps to remember those who never made it home but also enjoying what their sacrifice was meant to preserve for us. It’s easy to let the media make it seem like everything is bad, but looking outside I see so much that is good. We had two campfires to sit around last night. A big group site in the redwoods with 12 tents where out son, granddaughter and a bunch of handicapped people and their helpers were having a night in the redwoods. Also a smaller one by the river with a family member from out of town. It’s cold and overcast so the fires were essential.

Good morning. We are back in summer mode here, so sleeping in, then swimming lessons for a granddaughter and her older cousin. The weather has been alternating days between 54* and 86* so it’s a good thing the outdoor pool is heated. I got tickets to one show a month for Shakespeare Festival over in Ashland, June, July and August as a gift for my husband for Father’s Day. My granddaughter and youngest son are going camping for a week in August with the Special Olympic Summer Games but otherwise I get to be grandma every day and I love it. She not only has us with a dog back in the house, but has us hauling her around to three dog sitting jobs for out of town co workers of her grandpa.
My husband’s niece is on tour, singer/guitarist and will be here camping at our house next week. Have I mentioned, I love having summer.
Hope all is well for you.

so today I turned 60 and we have had 56 degree weather for all month so we came inland to the waterworks park and suddenly I heard, “is your name Dixie?” yes and it was a forum friend. Once known as Sequoia and later as Tarol so it was a fun connection

Yesterday seemed unlucky at first glance. I had a nail pulled and the tire patched but 27 miles later the tire came unsealed from the wheel. My granddaughter dropped the dog leash because she always does and the dog stays with her, only today it ran far and fast. But the kindness of strangers came to the rescue both times and within minutes. The world isn’t the lonely place it seems when viewed through the media. so anyway, I ended up almost grateful for the “bad luck” that turned out to be a reason for friendly conversations and happy memories.

Good morning. Have a happy Saturday I hope. We’ve had 13 inches of rain since December began, so it’s feeling very freshly scrubbed outdoors today.

echo, that is a lot of rain. We’ve had about 6” here in Seattle, and about 2 hours of sunshine. But the TG holiday was beautiful.

A marvelous dream just woke me up. I don’t want to fall asleep again right now, I want to record the dream in my diary, so I can recall it later. I wish you sweet dreams too, and good morning.

Now beginning another rainy night. Fortunately, “I love a rainy night.”
Sweet dreams and good morning to you as well.

Good morning! Rainy nights are fine, especially when I’m in my cozy house. Rainy mornings are less exciting, but since I live in the PNW, I’m sort of used to it.

Good morning. It’s wet again. No surprise since we have had 26 inches since New Year’s Day. My deepest wish has changed from more books, to more gravel for the driveway. What a mucky swamp I wade through and then pray the car isn’t stuck. But it’s warm even with, or maybe because of the rain. I’m comfortable, at least for another hour. Then I’m in the dentist chair.
Have a good day.

Good morning. We did manage an I;ch of rain a day for January. Grand total 32.96 inches.
Yesterday I drove to Portland, not supposed to rain here. Yay. Just wandering around today and a concert at 8. Left the girl, her dog and everyone but my husband behind.
