Strange morning here, I woke up at 2:35 to my phone’s warning shrieking on my bedside table. It has only ever done this twice before, once for a tsunami warning and o;ce for a local Amber Alert. But when I picked up the phone, it stopped and there was no accompanying text explaining. So it wasn’t until I woke up that I saw the news of the earthquake. 6.4 at 2:34. The alarm was only a minute later but it would have been nice to know why it was sounding. Anyway, we still have power and everything, but sounds like a building collapsed in Rio Dell and the Fernbridge has 4 large cracks and is closed over the Eel River. Anyway, since I’m doing ok, I even have my tree up and presents wrapped and the house is warm and coffee good. I thought I’d say Good Morning, and wish you all a good, Solstice, Hanukkah, Christmas to New Year season. We were slow looking for a tree and there were none left in town, so my husband bought a large redwood in a pot to be planted later and it is making the house feel festive.

Good Monday Morning. I hope you had a refreshing weekend.
After a month of rain, we were dry and sunny. I just had to get out into the redwoods and breathe.

Springtime. Here it’s been a lovely weekend with daffodils and sunsets. March has been as unpredictable as it should be so far, all mood swings from lion to lamb and back again. “Mudluscious and puddle wonderful” I’m hauling firewood in the rain and wading through the yard, then out building snowmen and then opening the windows because the fire has the house warmer than I can breathe in. But the very next morning I’m late getting the granddaughter to school because the van doors are frozen shut. I hate the time change but I do love that our sunrise was 12 hours and 3 minutes before the sunset. Hope you can read the shirt she is wearing.

It’s been far too long since anyone admitted to having a good morning! Spring is popping up around here, too. Yesterday it was warm enough to ride my bike (has to be into the 50s or my hands and feet freeze). This morning it’s 47º and raining. But there are flowers.

Good morning again! There was frost on my roof and deck, but the sun is out and the day looks nice, and I’m leaving for the desert at the end of the week, so life is good

Good morning We’re frosty here too but it’s spring break so I didn’t have to clear off any windows this morning. Yesterday We finally had the girl and the dog meet, and it was great. I was concerned because the dog has been living in the prison and trained by adult men, so I wondered if she would listen to a small girl, but she ignored the adults, ran right to Daisy and then followed every command plus just both of them were all smiles. Then she had to go back to prison until April 8th.

Good morning!! This is one Florida man who doesn't have to go to NYC any time soon. I think that makes it a great day!

This weekend I head West to some desert, some canyon country. I'm abandoning the Spring Breakers to their own demise.

Good morning! I’m hanging out on my sofa and waiting to hear how long before I can start walking again.

Happy May Day! My brother was reminding me of baskets of flowers and candy, left on neighboring porches before ringing the doorbell and running away. I wonder if there is anywhere that tradition is still carried out.
