So I need some help planning a hike. I am getting married in June and we are wanting to go on a 5-3 day hike for our honeymoon in July. We have never hiked California, Colorado, or any of the big states.
What would you recommend if you had to pick one 3-5 day hike anywhere in the Country?

Congratulations. Teton Crest Trail. I'm obviously biased living here but it is indeed one of the greats. NO DOGS
Bechler River with Boundary Creek and Dunanda Falls. Dunanda is simply the most exotic place I've ever found in this time zone and Mr. Bubbles is AWESOME. Great hotspringing for newlyweds. NO DOGS
Off Trail Plateau hopping in my beloved SW Absaroka. Don't let some imbecile tell you the southern Absaroka is Montana, they try to claim all kinds of stuff like Yellowstone and the Beartooth which they have just a sliver o. fIf you have the skills you'd appreciate why this is my favorite place on earth. DOGS WELCOME.
Sangre de Cristo Mts. in Colorado. Phantom Terrace, North Crestone Creek, etc. DOGS WELCOME.

East side of the Sierra, out of one of the less popular trail heads. Not a bad drive if you fly into Vegas- you can drive through Death Valley on the way through. N. Fork Big Pine Creek/Palisades Glacier would be one suggestion. Little Lakes Valley, over Morgan Pass and up Pine Creek, another. LLV, is crowded, but incredibe, once over Morgan it thins out. Lots of choices out there, congrats and best wishes.

Does it have to be a hike in the U.S.?
A paddle trip in Boundary Waters/Quetico could work too, except July is about the peak of the bug season.

Thank you! Dogs will not be going on this trip.
We aren't planning on leaving the U.S. So yeah it has to stay in the country.

Rialto beach to Shi Shi beach ONP, Wa.
Just go up from Rialto as far as you want. If you get a permit for the whole thing you can camp most anywhere on the route.
Questions, just ask.

1. Congratulations. 2. How much backpacking has your fiancee done? I ask this in all seriousness. If she is an experienced backpacker, then go for it. If she has never been on a 3-5 day trip, then I would moderate your plans going more for a B&B or Glamping experience. In that vein, I wouldn't hesitate to recomend this.

She's done 3 day hikes but nothing more. After looking at that link though we are actually thinking about it for a honeymoon. Looks like an awesome place to stay. Thank you!

I'm a big fan of the honeymoon backpack We did ours with as much of the extended family as we could persuade to come along. We did go away by ourselves the first night, then came back and packed up the whole gang to head for the mountains. It was a blast.

Rae Lakes Loop or High Sierra Trail may be doable in June. Definitely pay attention to the weather and how early the mountains melt out.

We did the Teton Crest Trail back in September with allot of help from some of our forum members and it was one of the most memorable events of my life.
