Appropriate. I forgot to thank you for the "radio link". I've been enjoying it. Trying to compile my own more-or-less related playlist on Spotify (for mobile use), but some of the Spotify links on the web site don't work for the very good reason that the track simply isn't there on Spotify. (For instance: the "Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell Jubliation [sic] Day from Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers Featuring Edie Brickell Live Rounder 2014" track (9/27 show) is on an album that's not available Spotify-wise. (I so enjoyed that one. I have the "Rare Bird Alert" CD - I'm the rare bird Steve Martin fan. Notice how I'm not mentioning any of the misspellings on the listings (oops!), though my little robot grammar/spelling checker found it.) Thanks again.

If you haven’t heard, Eddie Van Halen passed at 65 due to cancer .... the guitar whiz pretty much exclusively for his own band Van Halen. I remember as a kid one of their first hits (Running with the Devil) on the radio (Dance the Night away was big too, but eh ... ), so here’s a live version when they were new to the game.. (a little bit of original lead singer Roth on vid before getting to Eddie)
Probably not the best in then video technology, but I’ll always remember that song. After parting ways with Roth, Hagar became the new lead singer though the band kind of lost a little something..
From Van Halen’s “Van Hager” days 1991s Poundcake live

If you're talking about any misspellings of words on the playlist, I tend to use the exact spelling that is on whatever song, band name or album name that is presented on the liner notes or credits. Thanks for having a look at the playlist. If you're interested in the thousands of songs (mostly new stuff) I've found on YouTube and use for the show, here is the link to my channel's Playlist list. link

Thanks for having a look at the playlist. If you're interested in the thousands of songs (mostly new stuff) I've found on YouTube and use for the show, here is the link to my channel's Playlist list. I eventually listened to the entire show. Hard to go wrong with "Darlin Cory", Earl Scruggs, and others I can't remember anymore. A slider would be nice to move forward and back. Clicking on various icons didn't work well for individual songs, much less the entire show. Anyway, well done! I have a couple of similar stations as well.

A slider would be nice to move forward and back. Yeah, the archive player isn't controlled by the Station. It's done by Spinitron who also hosts our playlists. It's basically just a "skimmer" recording and will only be active for 2 weeks. Thanks for giving it a listen. It takes about 6 hours to put a 2 hour show together because I have to do it from home and upload it to the Station. We can't have 80 people sharing mics in the studios.

Not your time zone, but here on the east coast I listen to WRNR, which you can stream from anywhere. Every Sunday from 7-10 Michael Buckley hosts the Sunday Brunch. Diverse music, plus interviews with local oystermen, poets, rangers, riverkeepers, musicians, writers, chefs, artists, et al. One recent interview was with Nils Lofgren. I typically record it while I'm out and about, then listen to it as background music later. wrnr.com/

Clicking on various icons didn't work well for individual songs, much less the entire show. If you go to my YouTube page and look at the playlists you can see/hear the songs I played just not in order. If you look at playlist Remote 20 you'll see most of the songs that will be played this Sunday.

Wow, I remember listening to his show when I was in broadcast range in the early-mid 90's. That was my preferred station in high school after I got tired of narrow classic rock radio playlists. Especially liked Bob Here's and Hall's Bar & Grill shows.

Especially liked Bob Here's and Hall's Bar & Grill shows. The cast has changed but it's still similar. Years ago they moved from their home over the fudge shop, and are now in a proper studio nearby. So many memories... they became what WHFS used to be, but not quite as eclectic. WTMD might be an alternative, depending on where you live. 89.7

Big Jack Johnson. I brought him and his band up here a couple of times. He burned the house down.
He was 1/3 of the Jelly Roll Kings, with Sam Carr (drums) and Frank Frost (harmonica). All three are dead now.
He also had his own solo career, in addition to various day jobs to pay the bills, including as an oil truck driver, which is how he got his nickname "The Oilman".
If you want to boogie, blast this one. I'm a Big Boy Now
