I'm digging the Courtney Barnett cd as well. I've also been listening to lcd soundsystem lately. My perennial faves the past couple of years have been the Handsome Family, Low, and the Kills. Especially the Handsome Family. Through the Trees is one of the best, and most disturbing albums ever.

What genre would you call that, Cowpunk? Two cows and a beaver like it!

what's the new WILCO like, Schlanky? I didn't care for it at all on first listen, but it grew on me quickly. It's short, but it's fun. I agree with Rolling Stone's review: "It's their most concise, catchy, naturally songful album in at least a decade — the sound of a band reconnecting with the fun of rocking out together in a room." There's pretty much no way it'll be your favorite, but it's a nice change of pace. And it's free!

Am I the only one who has great disdain for all music formatted with MP3?
