I just saw the September BP magazine--and danged if they don't have a little piece on how to take good pictures out the door of your tent! I'd think they stole my idea if I didn't know how far ahead the mag has to be put together

This is nice. My point&shoot allows me to do a glowing tent like that or I can do star trails but I doubt I can do both. I'm hoping my photography equipment will be changing in the new few months.
Is there any post processing that needs to be done to get the milky way to show up?

Is there any post processing that needs to be done to get the milky way to show up? I do increase the contrast some and reduce noise later. But it's more about capturing as much light as possible to begin with using a long exposure (up to 30 seconds) and a high ISO.
