Another welcome, and a request for more information on the equipment you make. Do you make your own hammocks? What materials and equipment do you use?

I haven't made either of my hammocks but intend to in the near future. I have made my own whoopie slings, continuous ridge line, ridgeline organizer, stuff sacks, and top quilt. I have my winter tarp almost completed also, just need to roll heam the edge and sew on the loops. And then will be making my under quilt. I put a few pics in my Dropbox and linked it a couple post back to show a couple things.

Surprised to see so many people from Texas on this Thread! Where are your favorite spots to backpack in Texas? I lived in Fort Worth for 4 years during college and I found the backpacking scene left a lot to be desired. I was pleasantly surprised by Arkansas though, what a beautiful place.

Our trip is just in the planning stages. Kinda looking for input from everyone on date and location. I think the best way to do it might be to do the Ouachita trail and schedule way points where others can join in our drop out. That would make it the most flexible and adaptive. Our only real requirement is that out happens during the deal Foilage
