I was going camping frequently, I always take some bottle water, it is too heavy to carry, I heard outdoor water filters is a good kit to provide the healthy water, could you please tell me what kind of outdoor water filters you have purchased when you go outside? Please give me some suggestions!

I use a platypus gravity filter--I love not having to pump, and it's especially nice when you base camp, or have 3-4 people at camp--because you can bring a large quantity of water back to camp.

There are a lot of kinds out there. When backpacking, we've gone really light, and now just use purification tablets most of the time. I'm thinking of getting a gravity filter because I don't like the taste of the purification. It's not strong or awful, but it does interfere with the wonderful taste of mountain water.
Also used a Steri-Pen when abroad, and long ago a Pur Hiker, which is something else now (company got bought out).

Not a filter, but I just use Aquamira drops. They don't get clogged or fail and are light.

Pur was bought out by katadyn, and their Hiker Pro was similar to what I used before I stopped pumping. The gravity filters are better, IMO. I have also used the tablets seen on that same page, to much success.

Primary: Steri-Pen. I'm not fond of electronics in the backcountry, but it's very quick, which is nice when you're being swarmed by blackflies.
In case the Steri-Pen fails, I bring tablets for backup.

I have a Sawyer Mini Water Purification system, and a "LifeStraw Go" water bottle that I carry empty. It's got a filter in the straw and works great for me.
I've only used my water purification gear to test it out, never had to actually depend on it yet. I always carry plenty of water and Gatorade on my hikes.

+1 for Sawyer Mini, though lately having trouble with the flow rate.

I mostly use an MSR gravity filter, sometimes with an activated charcoal filter on the output hose. The Platypus gravity filter is pretty much the same in terms of performance. When I expect the nastiest water, I use an MSR Miniworks with a prefilter made for the MSR Sweetwater. That setup is heavier and its a pain to pump, but it is easier to restore to functionality in bad conditions. I bring a Sawyer Mini as backup in either case.
I've used most of the popular filters, such as the Hiker Pro, and they all work well enough.

If it stays mostly above freezing, a Sawyer squeeze filter. Below freezing, Aquamira drops with a pre-filter.

That will change when we get you out backpacking I've definitely been using it on the trail. I've filtered water for myself and friends that I hike with. Never had any problems.

Sawyer mini with Evernew bladders/bottles that collapse when not in use. Make sure you know which is the dirty and which is the clean bladder.
