Lyrics and mood, this Bonnie Raitt song makes me tingly Yep, that's good one. I've seen Ms. Raitt three times in Eugene, always a good show. Silver Lining is one of my favorite albums; probably her best show, too.

Listening to Silver Lining right as we type
We were born with our eyes wide open So alive with wild hope now Can you tell me why Time after time they drag you down Down in the talk so cheap Fools and their madness all around Know that the light don't sleep Know that the light don't sleep

Listening to Silver Lining right as we type I gave you two thumbs up for this one, but apparently they just cancel each other out, so I gave you a third thumb up.

Hehe. I'm jealous of your 3 Bonnie Raitt concerts. She's back in Eugene this September, but is already sold out (!!)

I'm pretty sure she has close friends here. I miss tons of great shows due to packing and camping, but I do have my priorities. You can get good music on CD, but not good camping.

A "friend" back in the 1970s told me this song reminded him of me back after I was involved in Native American protests. I hope not all the lyrics applied to me, but some lyrics seemed to for him, perhaps for me also. Styx: "Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)" [/i][/ul]

There is a tremendous amount of emotion and cultural significance in those few lyrics. I remember the song and the times only too well. 20 years old and totally caught up in the counter culture. Those were the times. Wouldn't trade them for anything. Peace.

Well, I'm a king bee Buzzin' around yo' hive Well, I'm a king bee Buzzin' around yo' hive Well, I can make honey, baby Let me come inside
I'm young and able To buzz all night long I'm young and able To buzz all night long Well, when you hear me buzzin', baby Some stingin' is going on
Well, I'm a king bee Want you to be my queen Well, I'm a king bee Want you to be my queen Together we can make honey The world ever, never, seen
Well, I'm a king bee Can buzz all night long Well, I'm a king bee Can buzz all night long Well, I can buzz better, baby When yo' man is gone.
King Bee
