I haven't but my 29 year old son has enormously. It's been a god-send for him.

Very much. Being a Type 1 diabetic (childhood onset, no fault of my own), I did not qualify for private individual insurance policies. I had an expected three month gap in employment, tried through six different companies to get a private fill-in-the-gap policy, none would offer coverage of any kind. They didn't even quote prices, just turned me down. I wanted to get coverage, was willing to pay for it, and could not. I was pissed.
That is not an issue any more. I will fight any political figure that tries to strip that again.

I'm not on it right now, but you never know. My cousin is though, and he had been very happy with his coverage. He was trying to figure out where the drawbacks to it were. I'm glad it's helping so many people. I have a friend who tried to get on it but was denied because his employer offers health insurance. If you know anyone who works for Walmart, then you know their pay, as well as their health insurance, is a joke.

My husband has very good coverage through his work (it's almost embarrassing how good), so that's a "no" for us. But I think everyone deserves as good coverage, so I'm happy to hear it's helping people I care about!

My daughter was on it for a few months as a bridge from our (the wife's) coverage (she's now 26) to the coverage she gets at work. She's working at a law firm, and they have great coverage, are very liberal (pay for everything, no cost to her), but in that she's just very lucky. The wife is still working as a manager, I'm on Social Security and Medicare. Up to this point (outside of a heart attack in '04 - I take regular medication), I'm pretty healthy: have "reasonable" habits and predilections (no alcohol other than a glass of wine or a beer with dinner, don't smoke, eat very lightly - most of the time - and exercise more than many my age (70)), though I should be exercising more than I do now. Only real problems I have are "mental" (sadly, uncorrectable). I only go to doctors for required checkups and occasional coughs/infections. I get my flu shots every year, and I pay for whatever I need and can afford. I prefer it that way. The problem with this kind of stuff is that you never know, and the "big stuff" can cost an arm and a leg. Gotta have insurance.

I have not benefited whatsoever from ObamaCare. I have, however, benefited greatly from the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. I can't imagine having to pay for healthcare, at least not explicitly.
In the end, y'all pay premiums while I provide a cut directly off my paycheque.

In the end, y'all pay premiums while I provide a cut directly off my paycheque. And that, my friends, is how it should work everywhere - everybody's "in", everybody pays. It's the way amortization works, you know. It's the way the insurance companies themselves hedge the costly clients against the ones who are not. But, down here, we got "paychecks". Don't know what the hell that other thing is. Geez.

I was visiting family in Minnesota a couple years ago, and my shuttle driver was ranting about the impending full implementation of the PPACA:

LOL - I was grateful at the time I didn't have a mouthful of coffee.
The van was full of sympathizers, so it was one of those times when you have to play along.
Haha! They don't do any of that commie pinko BS up in Canada!"
