Wishing you well, Westy. I hope the surgery goes well, and hope you heal quickly and get back out on the trail.

While Mom was snoozing at the nursing facility today, I did crossword puzzles on my phone. Look what came up...
It's a sign!

Good luck on the surgery! Injury is always annoying.
One extra thing: explain very clearly your expectations and goals for future activity so your PT team sets the right program for you versus something that wouldn’t necessarily support your goals. Remember: they work for you, and the good ones are more than happy to get you where you want to go.

Or simply just the “city” person. I found the most useful are sports groups, they seem more understanding of physical activity goals.

High Sierra Fan rebeccadSpot On! Your advice is for sure the strategy this patient will execute! I'm going to make them fired up, to get this septuagenarian out of rehab and back on the trail! Great feedback!

Good news! Surgery expedited from the 30th to tomorrow the 16th. That provides a 6-month, two-week rehab space to get trail ready! More upside...scored an early PCT Permit Release time slot. The first permit release was Tuesday the 14th, Submitted application for May 30th - Tehachapi Pass. Will have permit in hand in three weeks.
