You have been fortunate compared here on the East Coast. It has been brutal. Both of my hiking trips were just miserable, almost wish I hadn't bothered going. Right now a cold front has pushed through and given us breezy temperatures in the low 70s. It almost feels chilly compared to what we've been dealing with. Fall is on the way and boy am I ready for it

Fall has apparently hit western WA. Or some facsimile thereof. I just spent 11 days on the trail and most of that time in fog and mist. Not to mention a totally abnormal thunderstorm that spanned the whole western side of the state, and left me afloat on my pad inside my tent.
