jazzmom yes, rebeccad is still on the river, until tomorrow night. I'm sure she'd like to be in Co, especially since ES will be there.

If you are serious about attending a Pickle Gulch gathering and are willing to travel in the current crazy world, reply to this post so we can make a decision about reserving a site or not. It took a couple of days for me. BUT I am in for 17,18,19 for Pickle Gulch. I am also willing to make a first donation to the our reservation agent on May 1st.

My goal is the weeklong trip to Wyoming's Bighorns I planned for late August last year before I severely dislocated and broke my left ankle, which still shows little sign of full recovery. I've been doing modest overnight treks, but my pace and endurance are slowed. If the Bighorn itinerary is beyond my capability, Pickle Gulch would be a welcome alternative. I won't be making two trips out west (15+ hours driving each way), so it's one or the other.
I'll make a decision sometime in July.

Or hit PG on your way home from the Bighorns (okay, maybe not exactly on the way, but you’re talking to the person who figured if i was driving from CA to the Grand Canyon I might as well go on to Maine....).

Or hit PG on your way home from the Bighorns That would be nice but my plans for the Bighorns include both weekends, and if I go it will likely be the week straddling Aug/Sep. Pickle Gulch will be an option if I deem my plans for the Bighorn are beyond my capability. I'd still take a week, but the hiking would be less ambitious. The ankle injury has limited my recreational activities. I won't be playing softball until or unless I can sprint again, but I'm not giving up backpacking. Heading down to Southern Illinois this Sun/Mon/Tue for a three day loop (modest miles each day) from the East Trigg TH past Cove Hollow, Jackson Falls, & Jackson Hollow.

Question—has this been reserved? And if so, should we be sending some $$ to Deborah?

Deborah, we must all have our minds on the same track Indeed. The reservation site was having trouble, would not allow me to select two nights. Did one, when back in to try the second one and still it would not work. So, I had to call them and sit on hold for far longer than I like. But, it's complete now. I laughed at her when she implied that perhaps I did not understand how to use the site.
