Sorry I hope that didn't come across as nit picking on your well crafted, experience based suggestions. Nothing to be sorry about. I did not take any offense. I completely agree that it is something everyone should consider.

Pests like the bark beetles are probably pretty well out of the bag, but they aren’t giving up.

Will there be a Pickle Gulch gathering in 2020 and if so, which weekend?
I might actually be able to make it (for the first time) this year.

Dang. I would probably been able to make it this year. Always enjoyed my time at Pickle Gulch. Such are the times we live in.

So... have there been any thought or discussion about this September (2021)?

So... have there been any thought or discussion about this September (2021)? I have thought about it. I'm not sure if they will be open. Right now, they are closed to reservations. They might open in a few months.

I checked and they are taking reservations for Pickle Gulch sites in Sept. It was closed until a week or two ago. It will cost roughly $250 for the weekend. That is campground reservations and some group meals, usually evening and breakfast. The question is -- Will anyone travel to attend? If you are serious about attending a Pickle Gulch gathering and are willing to travel in the current crazy world, reply to this post so we can make a decision about reserving a site or not. BigLoad thinking about you with this question... Mrs bigload too.

I'm in. Is rebeccad still on the river? Thinking she might be game. I feel like we've had others express interest. cweston maybe?

I would love to do Pickle Gulch some time. Unfortunately, September is never a good travel time for me, except this past fall when I was on sabbatical. Do we have a date set?
