Is this from the Maroon Bells 4 Pass Loop trip 2008? That looks like Frigid Air Pass on the right.

Actually, Frigid Air is off the picture to the right. This shot is taken further left. The pass you are looking at is Halsey Pass. Not part of the 4-Pass Loop, but a great hike from the Crested Butte side. And, yes, this photo looks like it was taken from West Maroon Pass.

West Maroon was the first pass we hit on the loop, and the slog up that hill was where I figured out how to breathe at altitude.

No Granola. That slog up West Maroon Pass is one of the reasons I always recommend counter-clockwise for the 4-Pass Loop. 3 out of 4 of those passes are easier going counter-clockwise. Only 1 is harder going that way. And, it's set up better for campsites.

The Unkar Delta, River mile 72.5, the Grand Canyon. End of March, 2019 on a 7-night backpacking trip with zeke, BigLoad, RumiDude and my friend Teresa.

This looks like the spot where you can see several faults very clearly. If it's the place I remember, you see the two on the lower left go back for miles toward the North Rim.
