I will be making a change to make sure Mata is associated with the Good Morning thread. It's actually a little challenge for me since all accounts have to be registered and verified with email, and I don't have a burner account. Guess I need to get on that.

I will be making a change to make sure Mata is associated with the Good Morning thread. It would be cool if you could some how resurrect the old thread from the ashes of the old forum and post it here. You being a forum god and all.

Extra storage costs a paltry $3/mo, every month. Maybe BP HQ will see that as a bargain, but I am not paying it.And linked photos are no hit on our storage. Zero! So I decided to turn off the option for attachments. I'm mean!
I knew storage cost was the issue. I have an extra 25GB of free space on Microsoft's OneDrive that I would gladly donate if I could! Guess this old dog will have to learn a new trick.

I wonder how much of the mess in the "old new forum was caused by trying to integrate the "old" forum with the "old new" forum.

I'm unsure if the "Gear Closet" really benefits from having three sub-Forums, as well as being able to post threads in the main "Gear Closet" forum. The "Ultralight" and "Mountaineering" forums were all but completely dead in the last working forum (I'm not counting that POS currently on Backpacker... the one before that), so it makes sense to condense it into one single "Gear Closet", simplify it and put a stamp on it. I agree. If I want to discuss ultralight, I'm going to BPL, so I don't see much point in having that subcategory here. Keep it simple.

It's going to take some getting used to the Blue Bear handle. You've been GBH for so long. Yeah, I know. I may just change it back to GoBlueHiker, for consistency's sake, even if I don't identify with that moniker much anymore. I'm debating. Seemed like if I were gonna change though, now'd be the time to do it.

Except that those unused forum areas took upvertical space, only to be ignored. I chose to do it the way I did. Similarly, the Regional sections. Listed as all other Boards, the scrolling was silly. This compresses the Home page by a lot. It might change back, but I had the liberty to try it my way first. So I'm just saying, there was a reason. Stay tuned, it could change when HQ sends their web guy in. But thanks for the input.

I hear you, Blue Bear. But like you said, now's the time to change.

Back to the Stats area bottom of the Home page. Right there with New Topics and New Posts, a link to mark ALL boards read! Steve, I'm not seeing it.

bp2go: Could you add an "international" to Where to Hike? I am planning a camino de santiago hike next year.

The one thing I haven't figured out, if it's possible, is how to get sent to the position in a multipage thread where I'd last read?
