Man, I love ice cream. Butter pecan is my favorite followed closely by strawberry. Think I'll go have a bowl right now.

Hard to beat good ice cream. If there's a Heaven, it's on the menu daily. I try to abstain 99% of the time, as it's harder and harder to stay in trail shape, but there's a dairy farm with a large ice cream business near the Mass. coast I cannot help but turning in to. They have this double chocolate with pecans on a sugar cone..... About 7,000 calories I blame on my truck for turning in.

Ice cream is good. But, I keep it as a treat. A pint will last me a cupla weeks.
I like vanilla bean. Hagen Daus mostly because it uses sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.

Home made peach ice cream.
Even better when the grandkids help make it.

I made mango ice cream once that turned out well.
My favorites are rum raisin and pistachio.

I like Black Walnut, but the store carries it very infrequently any more.

Used to eat unconscionably large quantities of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia, then switched allegiance to Häagen-Dazs' Rum Raisin. The down side of Rum Raisin is that you have to set it out to warm first before eating - the full flavor doesn't come out until it's soft. I've tried using the microwave to speed up the process, but it's just not the same. These days, I can't eat as much ice cream, reserving it for a once-a-month pint-sized binge, but now my favorite is Teo's Goat Cheese and Cherry gelato. Yes, sir! And don't take this as an invitation to gobble up the local supply at your neighborhood HEB. Them's my stash, you bandit!

Chocolate Moose Tracks for me, and to make it extra special add some Chambord.

Anyone heard of Its-Its? Good cookie/icecream bar outta San Francisco. But, nothing beats our homemade vanilla with an assortment of fruit toppings. Already mentioned peach is great. I am particular to multi-berry...fresh strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. We pick and freeze the first three and have to settle for the bbs from the market. Good stuff Maynard!

Anyone heard of Its-Its? Good cookie/icecream bar outta San Francisco. I've never eaten one. But I can't believe they'd be as good as the ice cream sandwiches at the visitor's center in Great Basin NP.

Yeah hikerjer I like butter pecan a lot too but buy vanilla most often as I like to add other sweets into it. In any case I have enough self control to not eat too much ice cream so tend to treat myself infrequently, maybe a pint every month or two. Unlike most people I don't have to worry about gaining weight so sugary stuff is fine. But too much greasy food including stuff that tastes really good like potato chips, pizza, fried chicken, ice cream etc tends to make my hair and face oily so limit eating such. Thus instead as a dairy loving person tend to eat a lot of yogurt and cheese.
But because hikerjer made me, just opened the fridge and took out the near full quart of Trader Joe French Vanilla Supreme and added two scoops of Smuckers Strawberry Jam stirred in well for my celebrate Memorial Day Weekend desert tonight.
