I'm building a round subwoofer enclosure for my 2016 VW Golf TSI. It has to nest in the spare tire, so I bought a good router to make rings of MDF to build up the walls in layered rings.
I wanted the Golf in higher trim with Fender premium audio, but those don't come with manual transmission which all my cars since 1980 have had. I'm doing a serious audio upgrade with a JL shallow mount subwoofer, Audiofrog midrange & tweeters, 5 channel Alpine amp, and Audison Bit Ten digital sound processor.
I go on a lot of long road trips for backpacking and softball tournaments. Music with good sound is important to me.

Mr. Mom transportation duties probable. Day dreaming about a Grade 1 or 2 snow climb, but likely too lazy. Probably more prone to a motorcycle ride in the West Desert and eastern Nevada.

I have the next five nights off! Leading a hike on Friday night with a local outdoor group. I'm keeping an eye on cancellations at a place on the Coast (Yachats) I like. Yachats is such a great place. I still don't know if I have memorial day off yet. I did a long weekend in the mountains last weekend, in effort to avoid the holiday weekend crowds. Will probably do some landscaping work on my little biome adjacent to my house.

I'm going to enjoy having the house all to myself until I fly out Sunday to meet my family in VA. They leave tomorrow. I'll probably clean a little. I'll attend a party on Saturday. It'll be a quiet weekend.

Car camping, where we will brush up on making fire with a magnesium fires starter and a bow drill, and making a flip trigger snare. I will teach my wife to make a figure 4 and an up sided down figure 4 triggered snare. I, also, hope to find Morel mushrooms, like I did last year.

My youngest is graduating from high school on Saturday. More sweet than bitter (Isn't that a song?). He's got a good head on his shoulders, and a good foundation for his life. It will be strange without him around this fall.

I am between trips and getting ready for a busy travel schedule, so I'm looking forward to some downtime this weekend! After this, I have 9 weekends left before I pack up my life and hit the road. About 5 of those weekends are already accounted for.

One of our daughters is home from NYC, and wants to go backpacking.
OK then. We have a plan. I'll let you know how it works on Tuesday

I am forcing myself to stay at home. I have many things piling up on my honey-do list and I plan on knocking at least a few of them off. I have trim on the house to finish up, Trim on the inside of my house to cut and install, a trailer that I am replacing the wood in, part of my fence to fix and another part that I need to restrengthen due to a wind storm...and I'm ready to finish up re-landscaping of my backyard. I'm not sure how much of it I will be getting done...but I'm going to bite a large chunk out of whatever I can.

I'll wave on the way by. Going to Gulf Shores for a few days, then Orlando to visit with the wife's sister. First time we've all been away together for a while.
