I think we reached 32 yesterday at my house, but I forgot to bring in the hummingbird feeder last night so had to thaw it again. Still, we’re only down to 25 this morning,, so the warming trend is continuing.

The Friday-Saturday storm dropped around 10 inches of heavy wet snow. Lots of power outages in the area and some trees down blocking roads. I didn't lose power but just got cable Internet service back this afternoon. Temps have since turned cold -- -2*F this morning, high in the mid-teens today. Photo taken out of my bedroom window Saturday afternoon.

For the last three mornings I've had -33°F, -29°F, and -21°F this morning.
A couple nights ago I was out in about -20°F with a breeze, and it was downright nasty. Last night I was out in -3°F with no breeze. In comparison to the night before, it seemed quite comfortable. Lowest windchill in my area was around -71°F on the first night.
I've been delving into my backpacking cold-weather gear before leaving the house.

FINALLY!!! WINTER!!!
The family went skiing today while I worked. I'm not bitter. No, really, I'm not. At all. Bitter.

We had a heckuva storm on Saturday; it was really cold (about 15, which is really cold for here) with snow and ice. But the real culprit was the wind; it was howling with gusts up to 50 m.p.h. Power was knocked out in a lot of neighborhoods in the city. Unfortunately, some local residents are still without power today. The power went out in my cottage for 4 hours on Saturday. I went in to work Saturday afternoon and people were getting stuck on the hills around due to snow and ice. Fortunately, I have 4WD and I was able to make it in to work. I even got double-time for coming in to work on both Friday & Saturday nights. Tonight it will get down to 17; it’s cold for this area. We are supposed to get an ice storm tomorrow afternoon. Rainy and into the 40s by Wednesday. Stay safe & warm, Basecampers…!
Regards,
DR

We got about 2 inches of snow, and schools are opening 2 hours late. They're a lot more careful now than when I was a kid.

We got two inches of snow. The schools announced a two hour delay yesterday. At 6a they announced closing for the day because of icy conditions out of a abundance of caution.

Still -10*F here in The Hole at almost 10:00. This is my Sunday. Got call from work shuttle (Davey Coach Mercedes 4WD Sprinter) wouldn't start. Truly hoping someone didn't put biodeisel in it.

-2 last night, our water froze in front of our springhouse (the last picture of mine). A ex-student and friend came from Muskogee (yes, that Muskogee) an hour away and helped me (he did most of the work) build a fire over the pipe where it usually freezes. It took about 2 hours for the warmth to get down to the pipes. Nothing broken thankfully.

8" on my truck this morning here in town where we usually get the least amount of snow in the area. Gonna be a slog driving 3 morning and 3 afternoon shuttle runs to Teton Village.
