I must confess that I would have never thought of baby gators as a sign of spring but in some odd way I like it!

To be fair, that picture is of a gator coming up on 1 yr. Mating season is May and June, with nesting season closely following. The eggs hatch in the Fall. Gators will lay 30-40 eggs.

There is an article out at USA today that a Grizzly Bear has been seen out of the den feeding on a carcass up in Yellowstone NP. A big sign of spring folks.

2022-03-08 tiny sign of spring. Drought dwarfed blooms (with my pinky fingernail to show scale.)

Sadly I won't be able to contribute to this thread for about month yet. About 2 months for me - usually the 3rd or 4th week of May.

Since Rebecca mentioned flowers in her response to my post about Death Valley, I thought it might be fun to include a few images the change in seasons... Here's one from Napa. You know it's springtime when you see the first hot air balloons in the sky...and yes--I completely missed the thread that already exists up above. Sorry. Maybe the moderators can move this?
