Last Tuesday:
Parked at Byron Reese trailhead, paid $90 to Jeff to shuttle me to Springer Mtn parking lot.
Hiked 0.9 windy miles up Springer to capture selfie at the first white blaze.
Doubled back heading north bound (NOBO).
Met fun through-hikers at Hawk Mtn shelter, about 5 or 6 seemed to be teaming up to start slow, only doing 8 mile days.
I tagged along, next day stayed at Gooch Mtn Shelter. Then next night at Lance Creek camping area.
Got to Neels Gap where I doled out some trail magic - cold beer for all! Then i drove home. Wish I had planned to go for at least 2 weeks.
Nature was awesome but to me, it's about the people! I met tons of great folks!
