I've known about this old mine since I was a kid just never knew it's exact spot. Pure luck I ran across a post in a facebook group from someone local who had recently been to the mine. I was able to get the gps coords from him and had to go check it out.
We ended up only getting to go 50-70 yds into the mine. It had been raining and was drizzling off and on when we got there. We ran into a small waterfall of rain runoff at the first upward shaft (this mine's entrance is at the bottom, you go up once inside). With the rocks too slick to climb up and a flooded shaft in front of us we had to just turn around.
Next time I'll go when it's dry and take a video camera
