I'm curious as how do those photography geeks here archive photos? Do you just simply put them on external storage such as a usb flash drive or hard drive? Or do you use some kind of cloud service? Have any of you considered using Amazon's S3 Storage?I have a flickr account which is nice and for free let's you upload 1TB of photos but I only put my best ones there as I mainly use that for sharing with others. I don't really use it for archival purposes.

I backup most of my photos onto my external drives and attempt to keep duplicates of my favorites onto separate external drives between here at work and at home. I just starting printing my favorite photos as well. ...count Facebook and flicker and I have even more duplicates.

Pretty much what daveb says. Of course, there are those 20 cases of slides we have in the closet...

I save RAW files to my hard drive and external hard drive, while the JPG's get uploaded to Smugmug and my iCloud account. I've been very happy with Smugmug in the 7 or so years I've been using them and gladly pay the nominal annual fee.

I use Microsoft Onedrive which is synced to my laptop and phone. All I have to do is drag and drop my files to the onedrive folder on my computer and it's automatically backed up to my onedrive account. All the photos I take with my camera phone are automatically sent to my onedrive account.
I also have a Network Attached Storage device (2 TBs) that backs up my onedrive folder on my laptop.
EDIT: I also use Flickr for photo sharing here and other places online.

I have an external that backs up everything. I also have a SmugMug account where my jpgs get uploaded.
