There were several aspects of the old forum's graphics that were annoying, but it was what it was. Well, this place is different and I can actully make some changes, but would like to open this to your participation. Imagine that the users might have some say in what color the walls are! Pretty novel, huh?
It started with a pattern meant to be Cordura but that wasn't so great, Then I tried barnwood! Worse. I also tried several of the posted photos that I thought would be nice, Again, failure. The edges meant almost nothing and the central part was covered up by the forums.
So it can be a solid color (easy as can be!) or a pattern that repeats but without obvious edge joins. Now taking suggestions!Find a sample and post it. Something seasonal? Do you care? It's easy to change so we could even try a few and then vote. I'm trying to keep this a community -run forum while we seem to be in control.

Any picture with trees, and colored leaves. Since we will only be seeing the edges, I think we should be in the forest. Aspens, maples, whatever. I guess I am thinking of something along the lines of Bev Doolittle, not Aspen Matthews.

I would prefer solid earth colors. Something in a brown: #2b2925 (dark), #403c37 (medium) or #635d55 (light). I'm using those colors on my photography site and my backpacking site uses a light brown (#af9e82) and a dark green (#494d3e)...so I may be biased.

Soft, muted tones (would not be distracting). Nothing harsh and "busy."

The current fake wood siding works for me. So well that I never noticed it before.

I have vague memories of something that looked sorta like burlap. bp, ya done a great job. Let the little things go. Sipping tequila is probably a better use of your time than worrying about a largely hidden and unnoticed background motif.

Soothing. Muted. (echoing Woodsie) How about red sandstone? There are a multitude of worthy places to choose from, such as the Grand Canyon, numerous National Parks in UT, and other places all around the Southwest. (Not that I'm biased).

My vote is for leaves, Hikin Mike's 494d3e, or maybe some soothing yoga pictures.
