I'm planning on setting up at a carefully chosen position to frame the eclipse and some interesting architecture with my telephoto lens. The Photographers Ephemeris can help with that.

My binoculars have been ready for a week. I hope the clouds won't be too thick.

I may be able to see this one since it happens before my bedtime and it looks like we will have clear skies.

It's pretty well socked in with clouds here in the Chicago area and with rain in the forecast tomorrow most likely will remain so.

SWT--I look forward to the results of your photography! We are monitoring the fog here, and may drive a bit to get out of it if it's still socked in at sunset.

I'll be outside on my patio in eastern Oklahoma. (steps outside). Clear skies, mild temperatures.

There are too many clouds here to verify the moon's disappearance. All the stars are being eclipsed, too.

Pretty much overcast with thunderstorms. Very little chance of clear enough skies this evening.

Was clear until 10 minutes ago now a band of clouds have obscured the full eclipse, clear to the west though. 9:44 PM central time.

Big surprise here. Gap in the cloud cover gave me a clear view of the total eclipse. Not sure how long the view will last, but very little light pollution in rural area.

It was a nice evening to be out, but overcast until after the eclipse was over.
