I too had the Denali Mug. It was like having the joke dribble glass with coffee dripping on the front of my down jacket, grrr! Have since gone to the gsi infinity mug. Love it! My style of morning lends itself well to this mug. Wake up start packing what's inside the tent. Make breakfast and coffee. What I like is the mug holds the right amount of water (17oz) for 2 Starbucks VIA. I drink coffee with breakfast then start packing the tent and can sit the mug to the side and swig some additional hot coffee when I want. PERFECTO. As mentioned the mug slips out of the sleeve but the graded measurement markings are not on the inside of the mug but the outside. They are imprinted backwards so they read properly when looking inside the mug. If you're a gram weenie, remove the sleeve and just go with the lexan mug and lid. If your a gram wanker, leave the lid at home.

I don't like cooking in a mug. Water will head up much faster in a shallow pan. I have small nonstick coated billy bot (with a lid) and a stainless steel mug. If I needed a new one, I would consider titanium if I could find one as a close-out, but I can't really justify the expense if it wasn't on sale. I too like a wider boiling pan with a lid. I have found that stoves tend to shoot the heat out around mugs. Like I said in an earlier post my wife gave me the double wall Ti mug for my birthday. Still using it as my morning coffee mug and like it. I was reading the latest posts on this thread and realized that I might have a lid for this mug. When I saw the post about the boiling pan I thought how would that pan's lid, since I would already be carrying it, be for a lid for the mug. Turns out pretty good. The pot lid has a circular ridge for strength that makes it fit almost perfectly on the mug so it won't slide off. I like multi-functionality.
