Hi,
I tried out Barilla Ready Pasta yesterday at home after an impulse purchase at the grocery store. The pasta was just OK for me as I found the pasta to be a little under cooked, like it needed two more minutes in boiling water. In the interest of full disclosure it should be noted that I prepared the pasta using the stove top method and did not do a control test using the microwave method.
Car camping was my reason for trying the product, the package contains 8.5 oz of pasta which would be a little heavy for a single serving in my opinion.
Anyone have any experience with this product?
Sincerely,
Randy

I'd agree. I used it in a recipe, for testing, and found it oddly undercooked. I'd stick with precooked and dehydrated, way better texture.

@ Sabar,
Good to know that the dehydrated has a better texture (lighter too I bet!). Did you microwave the Pasta Ready or use the stove top method?

A lot of us just cook and dehydrate regular pasta. That way you just add hot water and let it sit, you don't have to waste fuel keeping it simmering for 8-10 minutes.
