Hi!
So, I'm actually writing a profile paper on the Havasu trail/falls and I need help! I need interviews and outside sources, so if you've backpacked the trail, been to the falls, camped there, rode horses, ANYTHING, I have just a few questions.
1. What were your expectations before going on the trail/to the falls? What had you heard about it, what had you discovered with your own research, etc?
2. Were your expectations met/exceeded?
3. Any other relevant information (Struggles encountered, physical details about the trail and falls itself, would you do it again?, etc.)
BTW, I'm currently planning a backpacking trip to here this spring so all information is welcome!
THANK YOU GUYS.

1. I had very high expectations for Havasu Canyon, Havasu Falls and the other waterfalls down there. I had looked at a lot of photos of the waterfalls there and decided I needed to see them. So, I added a stop there to a trip I had already planned that focused on several National Parks of the southwest. I did quite a bit of research on the internet before making the trip.
2. My high expectations were definitely exceeded. Seeing the amazing waterfalls in person far outweighed looking at photos of them.
3. The trail was more difficult than I expected, but that was mostly due to the extreme heat when I visited. It was also my first time ever "backpacking" so my pack was much heavier than it needed to be. I'm not sure if many people would categorize it as backpacking since you go to a large campground. I highly regret the fact that I only stayed one night there. I definitely want to return and stay for a few days.
