Over the past few years, there have also been many new trails. We checked out one of them, the Gorge Trail, as it followed the west rim of the gorge and descended to a waterfall. We looped around on the Hemlock Trail to see the amazing old growth trees along a boardwalk on the east rim of the gorge. This is always a beautiful park to visit, and its popularity has exploded in the last few years, particularly with New Yorkers. There are many miles of trails that explore meadows, woods, streams, ledges, and wetlands- away from the crowded gorge area. The park is also an ideal place to camp, with some beautiful tentsites near Silver Creek. Like beer? Endless Brewing is nearby.
