My husband and I are planning a trip the end of September. About 8 years ago we hiked a section that crossed the Carp River but I cant remember exactly where we started. We parked on the side of the road near a camp ground, at a trail head and ended at a primitive site on the Carp River. Does this sound familiar to anyone? We are thinking about starting in the same area but going farther. I was told there was a small waterfall just past this area someplace. Can anyone help pinpoint it a bit better or have any suggestions on a good trip for us to take? And one last question What should we expect for weather the end of September/early October?

There is a Little Carp River and Big Carp River in the Porcupine Mountains, if that's what you are referring

@gardnergirl
I hope this trip worked out for you. I know the area well, but that is no help to you now.....
There is one fantastic camp site on the south shore of Bevort Lake ..... wow!
And I know where it is. If you stay on trail you won't find it.
