One of my favorite early May trips is a ramble along Trillium Trail, in Pittsburgh's Fox Chapel area. The lush green woods sport a snowy carpet of trilliums. Unfortunately, this year I missed the main bloom...
When I went this morning most of the trilliums were on their way out. Heavy rains hadn't helped matters and I had to be make do with the occasional beauty. Due to the hit and miss nature of the trillium show I ended up taking photos of other stuff.
