There is a guy named Petey Mesquitey who does a podcast dedicated to all things about the Sonoran Desert called Growing Native. He and his wife have some acres in southern Arizona near the Chiricahuas where he makes a living collecting native seeds and giving horticulture advice. He used to be in a band back in the '70's called The Dusty Chaps. Here is an episode called "A Sonoran Desert Reminiscence." Growing Native

Recently I discovered this podcast called The First 40 Miles You may or may not agree with everything but it's really well done and it does have a lot of good information. I've subscribed to it on my phone using the Podcast Addict app and it can be found in iTunes also. If you'll listen to this first episode you'll get a little of their background and understand where they are coming from.

I just found The Trail Show. Just my kind of stupidity and hiking and beer. How did I not know about this? Thanks for the heads up, I just listened to the most recent episode, and really enjoyed it. Maybe a little too much "stupidity" for my taste, but still an enjoyable show. By the way, one of the people involved in this podcast, Lawton Grinter, wrote an extremely funny book called "I Hike", which I highly recommend for those who like this flavor of trail humor.
