The subtitle of this book says it all: Why nature makes us happier, healthier, and more creative. For us forum members, the positive effects of exposure to nature are well-known. This book provides a very accessible review of some of the research that has been done in different cultures to scientifically explain what happens when our senses are exposed to nature. Even though none of us here need any convincing of how crucial nature is to our well-being, I still found this a very enjoyable and fascinating read. I think it is a very important book, and I hope it is widely read, and helps spread the notion that humans cannot be whole apart from nature. Highly recommended.

Thanks trinity, this is going to go on my sooner rather than later list. Or maybe..just maybe.. audible has it as an audio book. Hmmm

I broke down and joined Audible during "prime days" and I got this book as my first one. I'm only on chapter 5 but wow. I think I'll end up purchasing a physical copy just for reference.
