Hello everyone! I am somewhat new to hiking, although I am a fly fisherman and blueliner at heart.
My family and I have started doing some hiking around northeast ohio. We would like to do some more challenging hikes and whatnot but are worried about getting lost (which happens often when i blueline). That said, I was looking at the Apple 2 watch and the Garmin Fenix 3 watch as I would like to have a wearable. I do work in the IT field and so I have done a bit of research on these two.
So, is anyone using one of these? I guess im looking for actual field experiences. If you have an Apple watch, what app do you use (if any) while hiking. I would like to be able to set waypoints and the like.
Any opinions would be appreciated! thank you!

I don't know about Apple 2 Watch or the Garmin Fenix 3 but I have a Garmin Forerunner 310XT which allowed way points and I found it to be really helpful and easy to use.
