Looking for nice scenic place to stop somewhere halfway between Roanoke Va and Rochester NY. Had help from hikers on the site pointing us to MacAfee knob will hike camp and over Easter break. Looking for a nice B and B in scenic area the next day on our way back to Rochester NY. Any suggestions would be great

I would consider the Harper's Ferry area, though others here will have more specifics for there or points north...

I second the Harpers Ferry area. Western Maryland is beautiful, Allegany or Garrett counties. The Shenandoah Valley is nice too, convenient to the Blue Ridge.

Thanks, Looking at Harpers Ferry very interesting. Hopefully we can find a good B&B that isn't full and takes a 1 night stay. Nice to have a little luxury after a nice hike. This looks like it will break up the drive a bit as well. Thanks Again

There are also B&B's along the Rt 15 corridor around Gettysburg.

If you're looking to stop closer to Rochester, the area around Lock Haven, PA is nice.

Wellsboro PA is very scenic, but kind of close to Rochester. Huntingdon PA is a nice town with great trails nearby, and Lake Raystown and Trough Creek State Park.
