Ugh. 9:30am Oregon time. I'm taking a break from using the string trimmer on the side of my hill. One hour down, one and a half to go. I'd do it anyway but we will be putting the house on the market in a few weeks and it needs to be looking sharp.

Good morning! I've just finished a first quick cut on my photos from the just-finished trip. Need to delete another 20% or so, and fix up the remaining (I have a spot on my sensor that requires a fix of just about every photo. Ugh).
But for now...I need to do some housework.

Good afternoon. Leaving tomorrow for a family reunion in Newcastle, Wyoming. I should be quickly getting ready, but babysitting 7 to 3 means nothing is quick. Getting extra parrot food at the feed store was like a day at the zoo as Daisy had to talk to every fish, rat and chicken. I'm worried because our trip last year was marred by my husband needing a root canal and being 1,000 miles from any dentists our plan covers. He was in pain and we were out money, but the root canal was done last July so this year should be ok. Except that same tooth started hurting last week, the dentist X-ray shows infection under the root canal. So we are supposed to leave tomorrow, after he has a dentist appointment at 10:30. There was no problem with his teeth All Year!

Rebecca, nooooooooooooooo, not housework! We just returned from a trip, we have one of my husband's students and her dad staying with us for a few days before she flies off to NY for grad school, and my best friend and her 3 kids will be moving in over the weekend for an indeterminate time, until she can find housing. I definitely need to reduce the chaos here!

Day one of our Goode family reunion trip for 2015 ended 505 miles from home in Winnemucca, Nevada after we found this cute, old fashioned room, for only $48 including tax. It was even named Santa Cruz, which has meaning to us as you know that our son attended college there.
We started from the Pacific Ocean, drove to Medford Oregon for my husbands 10:30 appointment at his dentists and then drove Klamath Falls, Lakeview and the dreaded, Lakeview to Winnemucca, 206 miles of nothing, and we've endured both blizzard and broken air conditioner there but the extra rain in that area last winter was making it more green than usual and lovely in a way. Plus, minor detail, but I'm 52 and that was the first time I've driven a stick shift since I was 15.

This afternoon, I got hearing aids. Now, I have no real excuse for not hearing M. Oh well.

Good evening friends! RebeccaD - sounds like you had quite and adventure! Looking for the trip report. Echo - I can't believe the de ja vu in your story. That's horrible about your honey's tooth! How old is Daisy now? I bet you're the best gramma ever! Zeke - what? He he. That wasn't funny was it? Glad you got your hearing aids. You're right- no more excuses.
Getting ready for my son's wedding ceremony next week. It's going to be beautiful. Getting dressed up isn't easy for either of us - LG and I. But we will clean up just fine I'm sure.
After the wedding we will be heading to Colorado for a few days for some camping, maybe an overnighter. Then to Missouri to check on LGs place on the river. His mistress, Miss Finley, has been out of sorts because he's been gone too long! You may have seen her in the news earlier this month when she flooded. Finley River that is.

Hi, made it to my in laws in Laramie an hour ago. 13 hours on the road but great company and mostly fun. Daisy is 15 months on the 28th and I miss her like crazy. Greg's tooth is hurting and I'm nervous because I had a good friend who died of a heart attack from a tooth infection, but he's on antibiotics and the dentist told him to go to medical help if it flares up more.

I got the house reasonably tidy, and we took off to the in-laws for the weekend to make room for all our guests (well, and to visit. We hadn't been since Memorial Day, and with parents in the upper 80s, we try not to go too long). They live north of Sacramento and it is hot here! Time to go ride if I'm going to.
