Since returning from Alaska, I have been unable to sleep through the night. I am hoping this getting up a 2 am for 3-4 hours will cease shortly. I may need to hit the gym for a few hours in the afternoon to insure I am worn out. Wouldn't hurt me to give it a little more effort there. I need to work on stamina anyway.

Back to sleeping normally. Whew! May get out for a paddle this weekend, if the weather cooperates. T-storms aren't all that fun. Will try to get pics sorted out so a proper TR can be posted.

Good Morning, we are having June gloom in July. Will burn off late morning. Heading to a Senior expo this afternoon. Still find it funny that we qualify as seniors! Make it a great day from "sunny" So Calif.

Awakened in Albuquerque at friend's home - breakfast in a lovely garden, going for a hike in a bit.
Zeke - a couple of hours at the gym?! Yikes, that's a long time!

I do try to spend 2-3 hours at the gym, 3 days a week. Some days are more successful than others. If I could just find that pleasant 60* weather here in Fl I could do my stairs and hiking outdoors. AC has me spoiled. If I am going to sweat, I want it to be from exertion, not humidity and heat.

I consider this an ongoing conversation, that I can drop into or out of at any point. Since I seldom have anything interesting to say that isn't provoked by a topic thread, I just post here with my trivialities.

Greetings from Grants Pass. We have to drive 90 miles to see the only dentist covered by our insurance, so today we made a party out of three cleanings. My son and his daughter and my husband and I drove up through the canyons and went to eat and are now dancing in the lobby with the toddler, no one else Is here at the Moment and she likes anything with a beat.

Sleeping throughout the night again. Good Morning, all! Rainy season here. Afternoon T-storms make doing anything outdoors difficult. 3 weeks until Banff.

It is cool, misty, and very quiet here. I woke up at five, planning to leave Friday to drive to Wyoming, and my mind is busy at the most inconvenient times. I knew if I did go to sleep, my husband's alarm would go off anyway, so I've been sitting and sipping coffee and icing my calf. Thursday, leaning into the van to buckle the car seat, my tendons snapped like a bunch of brittle rubber bands and it felt a brief delay and then pain just like someone had thrown a stone hard, at my calf. Sunday morning, I woke up with two purple, hand sized bruises, front and back. So physical therapy, and ice and elevation and pain meds.
Today is not a day with the granddaughter, so quiet, and easier, but not as fun either. Maybe productive but only on those kinds of things that undo themselves as I do them. I will donate platelets again and that takes almost three hours, but is kind of indulgent too, snuggled on a hot pack, wrapped in blankets because the blood cools before they return it, and I always get cold even on the hottest days, eating a cup full of fruit flavored tums because the loss of calcium makes my face numb and tingly, it's still good conversation with the other people there, or good time to read and feel guilt free about the down time.

Good morning all. The coffee is good, I made it to the gym today and I'm feeling pretty good. Hope it's a wonderful day wherever the trail leads you.

Good morning. Waking in New Mexico, after an intense and loving time with two friends yesterday. Flying back to Texas in a few hours. Life!

I'm going to get one of those. Man, you sure are getting around. Waking in New Mexico, after an intense and loving time with two friends yesterday. Careful, you're going to end up in the "out of context" thread. Sounds like you are receiving good support.

Good morning everyone! We walked out of the Sierra yesterday and drove home. Seven days in the back country, most of it off trail. I am feeling a bit old today :(

Ben, this is definitely the random comment depository, for things that don't deserve a whole thread.
